My first Seminar as Seminar Manager!

After being at Redwood for just over 7 months, I was given the exciting opportunity to become Seminar Manager, and start running all of our monthly Seminars. With a lot of help and training from Hollie, I started to learn how the Seminars were put together, what the procedures are before a Seminar and how to set up on the day. Last month was my first Seminar on my own, however, I did have Hollie as a shadow on the day telling me what needed to be done next, but leaving me completely in charge. This was great and I felt like I had made a massive improvement in taking control and really being a ‘Manager’ for the day. I felt ready to take on the next Seminar completely on my own, and it’s lucky I did as Hollie decided to take the day as holiday so was not there to help me at all! To be honest, I was completely petrified, but I made sure I got up early on the day, all my clothes were ready to go, and I was feeling quite calm. I left my house nice and early and managed to reach the venue early too! This put my mind at rest and I knew I could do it! We found our room and started to set up.

At 10am, everyone was in their places, tea and coffee was ready to serve and the guests started arriving. Tracy delivered an amazing open to the Seminar, and Jasmine and Steve followed with an amazing and informative Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning presentation. After this session had finished, we stopped for lunch and had a quick debrief, before getting ready and in our places again for the afternoon session. The afternoon session is slightly different as it is an Investments session. I did the opening of this one, and again, Jasmine and Steve followed with an amazing Investments presentation.

We had such lovely guests and the Redwood team, as always, were so supportive. I feel like I have now found my feet and have the confidence to run the Seminars independently, as well as keeping Steve and Jasmine in check!

If you would like to attend one of our monthly Seminars, please contact the office and one of the team will be more than happy to help you.
